Comics are the spice of life.

Peter King, the chairman for the House Homeland Security Committe, is an idiot. He has asked the Bush administration to open a criminal investigation on the New York Times for leaking the bank spying program. He calls it treasonous.

Whether or not the program the Times revealed is discovered to be illegal or justifiable, the Times should not be sued for leaking pertinent news to the US people. We already have a lack of faith in the independence of our newspapers, and should the Bush administration launch a criminal investigation, our faith will be eroded even more.

Information is freedom. Without it, we are doomed to fascism.
